A Desperate Plea From The Mathew Foundation: A Fight To Abolish The Nazi Policies Against Immigrants In The U.S. Print Email

The momentum is building and people are unifying as The Mathew Foundation sheds light on the inhumane and abusive practices of the U.S. Immigration services. In response to the most recent inhumane and abusive immigration raid in New Bedford, Mass., The Mathew Foundation is calling for a moratorium on deportations and urging immigrants and Americans alike to get involved and help put a stop to the arbitrary detention and deportation of immigrants who contribute to their communities and who have sons and daughters whom depend on them.

The Mathew Foundation asks: How many immigrants lost their lives during the attack on the Twin Towers in New York? How many people of color lost their lives in this attack? How many immigrants died while trying to save the lives of others due to this attack? Is it hundreds? Is it thousands?

Despite the large number of immigrants who died and courageously gave up their lives for others during this attack, immigrants are now the target of immigration judges, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), who are currently using this same attack as an excuse to enforce laws and policies that are reminiscent to the practices of ruthless past dictators. These unjust and highly debated immigration laws and policies are completely contradictory to the claim that America is the land of the free or defenders of freedom as immigrants are randomly being ripped away from their families, thrown in jail in less than humane situations, denied their due process and then left to rot in prison as they serve open-ended sentences with absolutely no end in sight, except for deportation. This intolerant and abusive treatment is not because these immigrants have committed a crime, nor because they are criminals, but because they are the wrong skin color, and wrong nationality.

In addition and equally as important is to ask ourselves: How many immigrants have been deported from America after fighting in the Gulf War? How many immigrants proudly fought for this country and only after death were granted citizenship to the country which they so bravely gave up their lives for? How many immigrants are today at war in Iraq, fighting for the sake and security of America - the same country that is imprisoning and deporting their immigrant brothers and sisters to unimaginable poverty and sometimes even death.

It's a fact that we immigrants built America to what it is today - so why only a few centuries later are we being targeted and treated less than human due to our skin color? Is history repeating itself? Are the same philosophies of tyrants such as Hitler, whose goal was to eliminate every race other than the whites with blond hair and blue eyes, being enforced today? Are we letting our warm hearts and trusting ways destroy us once again and tolerating abusive treatment that is only fit for animals?

Africans, Spaniards, all immigrants of the world: Do not allow history to repeat itself. Do not allow our children and families to be tortured and subjected to abuse by allowing tyrants to unjustly deport our mothers and fathers from this country, leaving our children ICE cold. Do not make the same mistake as the Indians, the Jews, and the Negros did centuries ago. Do not let our hospitality, warm hearts and trusting ways leave us open for attack and allow us to be destroyed by ICE cold hearts. Unfortunately, ICE is attacking us once again, and we must be prepared. Unless we ask ourselves the necessary questions and educate ourselves to the truth that is occurring today, history will repeat itself.

The Mathew Foundation is inviting every nation in the world to join us in bringing awareness to the abuse of power in the United States - especially by ICE. Order your Mathew Foundation star (http://www.edwardomathew.com ) and wear this symbol until there are equal rights for all.

We must be aware. We must rise up against this injustice against our people.
